Here some of my favorite fall colors combined with the hard working farmers storing hay for the coming winter which all come together to give us a wonderful scene of days gone by. Note the make-shift wagon with metal spoked wheels the colonist had to make from parts they could find since normal wagons did not fare so well in the challenging Alaska environment. However my absolute favorite part of the painting is the man on the ground managing the harvest before putting it in the silo--the morning sun is washing over his left shoulder. What a lovely scene.
