Alaska's Best

This is one of my favorite paintings if I have any at all. The interesting thing about this scene is that I took this picture while attending the Alaska Iditarod race in Anchorage.  Little did I know at the time that this was the winning team that year. Lance Macky and his team of sled dogs won and went on to win the next year as well. What marvelous athletes these dogs are, Alaska's best.
